LeatherList.org has completed the first stage of a reboot. We invite you to take a look. The site’s focus is now on its Resources pages, and they’ve been upgraded in many ways. The Directories are easy-to-use sources of information for Leather and sex-positive people throughout the U.S.

We constantly update and improve our online home to serve Leather people as well as possible. The site’s fundraising capability has been put on hold, but we have stayed true to our original vision. It’s still a community building effort.

Submit a listing

While we continue to research and add listings, you can now also submit listings of Leather clubs, annual events and sex-positive centers that our researchers may have missed. Just go to the Resources Directory page; you’ll see a “Create A Listing” button at the top. Fill out every field you can. We’ll review and publish ASAP!

Leather Economy

We also want to support the great variety of businesses that serve Leather people, their cultures and histories. Leather List originated the concept of an updated, online “Leather Economy” directory. We will continue to update and develop it, and you can add listings too, as described above.  Conceptually it links back to Leather-owned or friendly business ‘districts’ developed in American cities, most notably in San Francisco’s South of Market district. It’s now a designated Leather cultural landmark.

No Ratings or endorsements

Leather List will not open a customer ratings or comments section, as online directories like Yelp and many others do. We believe you should personally contact any business owners you are interested in. Based on your overall experience, there are other platforms for indicating your opinions of vendors listed here. We believe that the vast majority of these small businesses are very determined that you become a happy customer.

No compete

Leather List Resource Directories do not duplicate these directories that serve Leather people:

  1. Kink Aware Professionals Directory, sponsored by the National Coalition for Sexual Freedom
  2. GLMA Provider Directory, sponsored by GLMA/Health Professionals Advancing LGBTQ Equality
  3. Polyamory-Friendly Professionals Directory
  4. Bisexuality-Aware Professionals Directory
Joining is very easy

We urge you to join LeatherList.org as a site member. We will not deluge you with marketing e-mail. We mainly hope you will subscribe to our blog, Leather Service Journal, which we cross-post to Facebook & Twitter. Wherever you see our posts, we hope you will comment and add your “Leather leadership voice.” Its goal is to become a diverse, multi-author blog experience that supports Leather service, and charitable contribution service in particular, to Leather’s most vulnerable communities.

We look forward to hearing from you!
